I started my journey in long distance endurance sports over 30 years ago back in 1993. I was training martial arts and was looking to increase my stamina and fitness levels. And so I started running.

I soon realised I enjoyed running more than I did martial arts, so I pursued my interest in running and joined a running club, Blackburn Harriers. I ran for approx 5 years with Blackburn and then at the age of 30, I snapped my cruciate ligament which forced me to stop all sports for a good number of years.

Fast forward to 2011 and the incessant call of running couldn’t be ignored any longer. I started to run again and quickly found the passion for getting faster and stronger again. I was entering races, doing well and even winning some so I re joined Blackburn Harriers for a second time.

In 2016 I was starting to pick up niggles and so I decided to switch over to Triathlon to help with cross training and to keep injuries at bay. It hasn’t been easy to switch and the hardest discipline I have found is cycling. I have worked with many coaches and have a wealth of experience in all sports that I can share to make you the best at Swim Bike Run.
